Our breeding principles

Professional approach

Taking into account responsibility for health and well-being of our dogs, I considered it necessary to get a special cynological education at the Cynological School at the Veterinary Academy. named after Skryabin and graduated in 2006 with a degree in "cynologist, specialist in dog breedingr". In 2008, after completing the courses of the RKF-FCI judges, qualified as judge for Leonberger, Russian black terrier breeds, and in 2010 - Italian Cane Corso, Newfoundland, German boxer, Bullmastiff. I was honored to judge Leonberger Club specialty shows in France, Italy, Germany (Leonberg), Finland, Netherlands, Hungary, Russia.

About the breeder.

Tested and diverse genetic fund

Breeding in our kennel is based mainly on our own descendants. For being used in breeding we select dogs of a typical exterior, that fully comply with the breed standard, with a stable temperament and have passed all the necessary breed specific health tests. As a rule, before choosing a partner for mating or deciding to bring a puppy from abroad, we observe several generations of relatives, request all the necessary tests and personally get acquainted with the future sire or parents of the puppy.

Continuous improvement

We try to keep in touch with leading breeders and breed experts in many countries in order to adopt the best experience, improve the breed, and help people who will purchase puppies from us with advice and support. Regular participation in the specialty shows helps us compare our dogs with the others, draw conclusions for further breeding work.

Education and development

The Lenberger is a very intelligent and sociable dog. We try to develop these qualities by teaching dogs the basics of obedience, and then, depending on the individual preferences and talants, develop other working qualities – e.g. obedience in urban conditions, with some we do dance gymnastics, the basics of ring training, etc.. In the process of training, mutual understanding between the dog and the owner is establishing on the next level. Love, understanding, playing and mutual respect are the necessary conditions for harmonious development and happiness of a Leonberger.

Health and care

Our dogs live in excellent  conditions both at home and in a large fenced outdoor area, having almost unlimited opportunity to move, play with each other and communicate in the family. They receive balanced, high-quality nutrition in accordance with their age, and are vaccinated   and dewormedin as prescribed.

According to international breeding recommendations, leonbergers should pass some breed specific health tests in order to be used in breeding: hip and elbow dysplasia, tests for LPNs (polyneuropathy) and LEMP. IWe follow these rules. All the dogs have DNA profiles.
